Events Are Fast Moving Around the Contact Line Between Donbass and Ukraine

Vladimir Putin’s authorized strikes on Kiev’s military infrastructure to halt years of aggression on Donbass were long overdue.

He deserves high praise for taking this step after years of futile diplomatic outreach to the US-dominated West on this and related issues.

They failed because both right wings of the US war party prioritize endless hot and cold wars over peace, stability and compliance with the rule of law — notions they abhor and don’t tolerate.

According to Russia’s Defense Ministry on Thursday, Russian airstrikes overnight Wednesday and on Thursday destroyed 74 Ukrainian military targets, including:

11 airfields

three command centers

a navy post

18 S-300 radars (NATO reporting name SA-10 Grumble), and Buk (NATO reporting name Gadfly) air defense systems.

A Ukrainian attack helicopter and four Turkish-made Bayraktar strike drones used for aggression on Donbass were destroyed.
